Privacy Policy

Information we collect

We collect account information such as your name, email address, phone number, authentication method, and account preferences. We collect media, song settings, and sharing activity that you choose to add. Invited lesson-beta users also provide lesson material and practice-session activity.

When you add media, we collect the file you upload, your rights confirmation, and any title or artist details you enter. We store the source audio and the processed vocal and accompaniment files in your private library.

We also collect device, browser, log, security, and usage information needed to operate, protect, and improve the service. Our payment provider processes payment-card details. Ragafied receives transaction, subscription, and billing status information rather than full card details.

How we use information

We use information to provide accounts, process audio, play and share songs, manage memberships, deliver service messages, prevent abuse, support users, analyze product performance, and comply with law.

Playback activity

We record how you use the song player: which songs you play, how long you listen, and the settings in use while the song plays. These settings include tempo, key, playback mode, phrase playback, loops, the pitch graph, full screen, whether the microphone is on, and music and vocal levels. We also record the song position, when you pause, seek, or change a setting, whether you use a phone, tablet, or computer and its operating system, and whether you played a saved offline copy. When a player session is first reported, we use your IP address to estimate your country, region, and city, and we store that approximate location with the session. We don't store the IP address with playback records, and the lookup uses a database on our servers rather than a third-party service. Paused, loading, and hidden time do not count toward listening time.

These records are associated with your account and player sessions. If you play a song that is open to guests without signing in, we record the same information with a random identifier stored in your browser instead of an account. If you later sign in using that browser, we may connect those records to your account. You can remove the identifier by clearing this site's data in your browser.

Keeping these playback records is part of providing and improving the service and is separate from optional analytics, so declining analytics does not turn it off. Authorized staff use this information to understand how the player is used and improve it. Playback records do not include microphone audio and are not used to calculate charges or grades. They are removed when the associated song or account is deleted.

Microphone and pitch comparison

The song player requests microphone permission when you enable pitch comparison. It analyzes microphone audio in your browser to draw your pitch. Pitch comparison does not save or upload microphone audio. Optional recording is a separate feature described below. You can turn off the microphone or revoke browser permission and continue using playback.

Lesson-beta practice sessions can store practice duration, repetitions, and progress. Before enabling student homework or grading that collects additional data, we will describe what is collected and who can see it.

Optional recordings and feedback

Recording and feedback features may not be available to your account. Where recording is available, choosing to record keeps a draft on your device. Choosing Save recording uploads your voice and a log of timing, playback settings, and interruptions needed to replay it. Browser storage can be cleared or evicted, so an unsaved device draft is not guaranteed to survive.

For saved recordings, we store the voice, replay log, edits, sharing details, and the messages you send. Recordings are private until you share them. You can restrict a recording to invited accounts or allow anyone signed in with its link to listen. Each message is visible only to its sender and its recipient. Operators can view recordings and messages while impersonating a member for support. When you report a message, we keep a copy of that message, and operators read it only to decide the report.

When a recorded pitch display is available, the listener's device computes its voice pitch line from the saved voice track.

Trimming and dropping attempts skip those parts during replay but retain the original voice audio. Authorized listeners may receive original audio chunks, including parts excluded from replay. Recordings are not used to train AI models.

Deleting a saved recording moves it to Recently deleted for 30 days. Permanent deletion of its voice, replay log, and sharing details is scheduled after 30 days; messages that carried it remain without it. Deleting your account removes your recordings, your conversations and their messages, and unsaved recording data held by Ragafied.

Optional analytics

When analytics is enabled and you allow it, we use Google Analytics to measure page visits and interactions with player controls, such as playback, tempo, key, loops, and microphone settings. Google Analytics uses cookies and receives browser and device information. Our tracking events do not include account details, song titles, source URLs, share tokens, or microphone audio.

You can allow or decline analytics, or change your choice through Cookie settings on your Account page or below. We also respect browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. Declining analytics does not affect playback.

Matching audio

We compare audio files and source links to recognize music already processed. When another member independently adds the same source, Ragafied can reuse existing audio files and processed results. Each member still has a separate Library entry; this matching does not expose account details, private titles, lesson instructions, or private edits to the other member.

Deleting your song removes your Library entry and its access links. Shared storage files can remain while another independently imported song or lesson still uses them. A removal request involving the source audio itself is handled separately through our copyright and privacy contacts.

Offline storage

If you save a song for offline playback, Ragafied stores audio, song information, playback settings, and an account identifier in your browser on that device. Playback activity from offline listening is kept in your browser until you next open the player online, when it is sent to Ragafied. You can remove saved songs using Remove offline copy or clear them through your browser's site-data settings. Deleting a song from your online Library does not necessarily remove a copy from a disconnected device.

How we share information

We share information with service providers that host data, process audio, deliver email, provide authentication, process payments, monitor reliability, or support customer requests. We may share information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transaction.

We store sharing details to manage access to songs you share. Anyone with a share link can see the song title and displayed owner identity; playback requires an eligible signed-in account. Links can be forwarded and remain available until revoked. Email-specific invitations retain the recipient email and your sharing confirmation and are restricted to the named account and owner.

Copyright reports and disputes

We collect reports, signatures, contact details, material locations, review requests, and decisions to investigate concerns and enforce our policies. Access to case information is limited to authorized staff and the information needed by affected account holders. We may disclose report or counter-notice information to the parties or authorities as needed for the applicable process. We retain case records and information identifying restricted audio as needed for disputes, legal obligations, and repeat-infringement enforcement. Use of your music

We process your material to provide the requested features. We do not sell your audio, use it in advertising, or train AI models on your music or processed results without separate express permission.

Retention and security

We retain uploaded and retrieved source audio, source URLs, processed files, and related song information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the service. Retention periods depend on the type of information and why we hold it. We use administrative and technical safeguards, but no service can guarantee absolute security.

Email communications

We may use your email address to send getting-started guidance, trial reminders, practice tips, library updates, product updates, and membership offers, subject to your email preferences and applicable law. You can stop these optional emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any of them. Unsubscribing does not stop essential account, security, or billing messages.

For each email we send, we keep a record of the recipient address, the subject, when it was sent, and whether your mail provider accepted it, delayed it, returned it, or reported it as spam. We use these records to fix delivery problems and delete them after 90 days. They don't include the contents of the email.

Your choices and rights

You can update some account information and manage your membership in Ragafied. You can ask to access, correct, export, or delete personal information by contacting privacy@ragafied.com. Your rights depend on where you live.

Children

Ragafied accounts are for adults aged 18 and over. If you believe a minor has provided personal information, contact our privacy address so we can review and remove it as appropriate.

Service providers and international transfers

LifeSage LLC operates Ragafied from the United States. Our application, audio processing, and primary storage run on Amazon Web Services in the United States. We use Amazon SES for email, Google for optional sign-in, Cloudflare for domain services, and Stripe Managed Payments for payments. These providers may process information in other countries under their own service terms and privacy policies. Contact our privacy address with questions about how your information is handled or to exercise rights available where you live.
